Hadleigh Community Choir
Hadleigh Community Choir is run as a not-for-profit Voluntary Association. The aim of the choir is to give public performances of light and popular music to the highest standard possible. Performances are given to raise funds for charities and local organisations.
The choir was officially launched in April 2012 and performed at its first public event, the Civic Service for Hadleigh's Town Mayor, in September 2012.

If you'd like to join the choir
We welcome anyone who isn't confident about singing but would like to give it a go. There are no auditions, nor do you need to read music (but it helps if you can). Do, however, expect to work hard if you want to reach a performance standard in singing and following a music score. You also need to be able to stand for the duration of a public concert which typically could be two periods of at least 45 minutes (this may not apply if you are registered disabled).
For the first 6 weeks you will not need to pay membership - only rehearsal fees. This gives you a chance to see whether you like the choir. Our section reps and the music team are there to ensure that you don't feel lost - please ask questions if you need to. After 6 weeks, your section rep will invite you to become a full member, at which time you will be able to sing in concert.
If you would like the choir to sing at your event
Over the years, Hadleigh Community Choir has been invited to sing at Hadleigh Community Primary School's Christmas Fayre, Hadleigh Town Mayor's official Civic Service, Hadleigh Town Christmas Lighting-Up Ceremony, the Hadleigh Flower Festival, and many other functions both public and private.
If your organisation or community group is planning a special event, or planning a fund-raising concert, or simply wishes to raise funds for a good cause, Hadleigh Community Choir would be delighted to discuss ways in which we could contribute to the success of that event. For more information, email the details to contact-us@hadleighcommunitychoir.org.uk.
